As the guidelines around travel are constantly evolving, we are here to keep you updated, to help and to advise. The current ‘green list’ update from the Department of Foreign Affairs is that travel to Italy can proceed with 'normal precautions'. This means that non-essential travel can resume to Italy in accordance with government policy and should you decide to travel, you are no longer required to restrict your movements upon your return to Ireland.
Your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our team, is of paramount importance to us and this will remain our priority as we move forward. Below we have set out some of the key changes that you will experience whilst on a holiday with Topflight. As things inevitably change and evolve, we will update the below in line with current best practices and updated government legislation.

If you are experiencing any COVID 19 symptoms, you should self isolate and arrange to be tested. You should not travel if you, or anyone in your household are showing symptoms.

With Italy featuring on the Department of Foreign Affairs' Green List, Topflight customers can now purchase travel insurance and be confident in the knowledge that they will be covered, should they choose to travel to Italy.
At Topflight, we offer Accident & General (A&G) Gold travel insurance. All A&G policies now have cancellation and curtailment cover if the insured person, their travelling companion, or person they were going to stay with, receives a COVID-19 diagnosis. In addition, all policies will cover medical expenses overseas, including COVID-19.

Your travel experience will undoubtedly be different than you are used to, however by following the guidelines outlined, we can ensure a safer travel experience for everyone. We would ask you to read the below and adhere to the guidelines.
Throughout your holiday we would ask that you continue to wash hands often. As we well know by now, washing your hands is one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission. If hand washing facilities are not available please use hand sanitiser. And as we have become accustomed, try not to touch your face, mouth or eyes and cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow when coughing or sneezing.
Maintain a social distance throughout the airport.
Remain seated for the duration of the flight where possible.
As with all aspects of the holiday experience there will be changes to boarding procedures and indeed on board your flight. In general there will be staggered boarding in small groups. Currently this will see rows in the centre of the aircraft fill first and then work out from the middle towards the front and back of the aircraft. All aircraft used by our airline partners are already installed with high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter systems with vertical air flow which provide fresh air quality during the flight.

We’ve always carefully selected our accommodation partners for their high standards. They are currently working on and adapting their measures to optimise health, safety and cleanliness procedures, as well as creating additional measures for social distancing. They are working in line with their national government guidance and as a result, below are a selection of the measures that are in place. This is an outline of the more general new safety procedures that you can expect.

Throughout the duration of your stay our Overseas Concierge is on hand to ensure that you have all the information and assistance that you need. Contactable 24/7, they will be in touch before you travel and will contact you at each point in your journey to make sure that everything runs just as smoothly as possible.
In some of our featured resorts, should you desire we can arrange for a member of our in resort management team to meet you at your accommodation in a socially distanced manner. Our team on the ground have first hand knowledge of things like pre-booking restaurants, guidelines on how public transport is operating and any additional protocols in regard to retail areas.
