Begin your journey in Sanremo, the famed "City of Flowers," known for its grand promenades, historic casino, and vibrant markets. Stroll along the palm-lined Corso Imperatrice, admire the elegant architecture and soak up the lively atmosphere of this iconic Riviera destination. With time to explore at your own pace, you can visit the Sanremo Casino, browse the charming boutiques, or simply enjoy a coffee at a seaside café while watching the world go by.

Leaving the Riviera coastline behind, venture inland to Dolceacqua, a hidden gem nestled among olive groves and vineyards. This medieval village, with its cobbled streets and stone houses, exudes an old-world charm. Walk across the famous arched bridge, immortalised by Monet, and explore the winding alleys leading to the imposing Doria Castle, offering panoramic views of the valley.

A highlight of your visit to Dolceacqua is a stop at a traditional farmhouse, where you’ll enjoy a tasting of regional delicacies. Sample locally produced olive oil, Ligurian pâté, and other specialities, gaining insight into the region’s rich culinary heritage.

With a perfect blend of coastal elegance and historic intrigue, this tour offers an unforgettable glimpse into the beauty and culture of Liguria.

Day3Day at Leisure

Today is yours to spend at leisure, giving you the chance to enjoy the Italian Riviera at your own pace. Your Tour Manager will be happy to suggest local activities or nearby sights to explore. You may choose to relax on the sandy beach, take a stroll along Pietra Ligure’s charming seafront promenade, or wander through the historic old town with its narrow streets, lively piazza and inviting cafés. Whether you prefer to unwind by the sea or soak up the town’s authentic atmosphere, the day is yours to enjoy.

Day4Monte Carlo & Menton

Your day begins in Menton, a sun-drenched coastal town famous for its pastel-coloured buildings, lush gardens and vibrant citrus groves. Wander through the Old Town, where charming streets lead to the impressive Basilica of Saint-Michel-Archange, offering breathtaking views over the Mediterranean. Take in the beauty of the Jardin Biovès or stroll along the seafront promenade, soaking up the relaxed atmosphere of this Riviera gem.

Next, travel to the hilltop village of Eze, where you’ll visit the renowned Fragonard perfume factory. Learn about the art of perfume-making and take in the intoxicating scents of Provence before continuing to the dazzling city of Monte Carlo.

Monte Carlo is the epitome of luxury, home to opulent casinos, grand boulevards and breathtaking coastal views. Stroll through the famous Casino Square, admire the Belle Époque architecture and take in the scenic harbour filled with superyachts and luxury cars. Explore the elegant Café de Paris, or simply enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Monaco’s most prestigious district.

Day5Genoa & The Apennine Express

Begin your day in Genoa, a historic port city rich in nautical heritage, grand palaces and vibrant local culture. Wander through the atmospheric carrugi (narrow alleys) of the Old Town, where medieval buildings and lively piazzas reveal the city’s past. Explore the Porto Antico, once a bustling hub of trade, now transformed into a lively waterfront with cafés and museums. Visit the elegant Strada Nuova, a UNESCO-listed street lined with opulent Renaissance and Baroque palaces, showcasing the wealth of Genoa’s golden age.

After exploring the city, board the Apennine Express, a historic narrow-gauge railway that winds through the stunning Apennine Mountains. This scenic one-hour train ride offers breathtaking views of rolling hills, charming villages and untouched countryside, providing a unique glimpse into Italy’s hidden landscapes.

From here, continue to a local garden nursery where you will enjoy a tasting of regional products and take part in a workshop to create your own flavoured salt using fresh herbs. The day concludes in Albenga, a fascinating town with a remarkably well-preserved medieval centre, where Roman towers, historic churches and lively piazzas offer a glimpse into centuries of history.
