You will arrive to Naples, where you will be met by Topflight's Resort Manager and transferred by luxury air conditioned coach to your hotel. Your base for your stay will be the beautiful, luxury Hotel Bristol.
The 4 star plus Hotel Bristol has been a Topflight favourite for years, superbly located on a cliffside on the main road overlooking the pretty fishing village of Marina Grande. It is a 10 minute walk down the hill to the centre of Sorrento where you can stroll through narrow cobbled streets, lined with shops, cafés and restaurants and enjoy the heady scent of lemons in the air.
The 7th floor restaurant, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, is the perfect place to soak up the picture postcard views, while an army of charming waiters see to your every need. Hotel Bristol's guests love the delicious 3-course dinner and the romantic coastline landscape is just the cherry on top. Perhaps afterwards, you’ll retire to the bar’s terrace and enjoy the view over a drink, or take the short stroll into the centre of town to soak up the atmosphere of a wonderful Italian summer’s evening.
Today you are invited to join your Resort Manager and the rest of your group, for an entertaining and informative welcome meeting and tour around Sorrento’s stunning town centre. En route, your fantastically knowledgeable guide will point out buildings and monuments of note, regaling you with fascinating stories and anecdotes.
A refreshment stop at a much-loved gelateria, to meet the charming owner and sample some mouthwatering ice-cream, will be your next port of call, after which you'll visit a cameo shop, to see firsthand how this popular jewellery is crafted. A trip to see where Limoncello is made is also on the cards, as is the opportunity to sample a drop or two of this mouthwatering lemon liqueur.
After, you’ll head to a local restaurant where you can enjoy a drink on the terrace and soak up the stunning views across the bay.
In the morning, you will be picked up by coach and taken on an unforgettable road trip along the Amalfi Coast. A local guide will accompany you to make sure you take in all that the Amalfi Coast's history and scenery have to offer.
The Amalfi drive is said top bar the most spectacular in Europe and from Sorrento, the winding cliff top road offers continuous breathtaking panoramic views.
The first short stop will be high above Positano, one of the jewels of the coastline. You’ll need to have your camera at the ready as this is a view you won’t want to miss.
You will then proceed to the beautiful town of Amalfi where you will have some free time to explore the main square and the quaint and cobbled backstreets. After drinking in the atmosphere here, make your way to the port and we will board the local ferry.
Set sail along the coast and take in its incredible beauty from another vantage point, on the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea. The ferry will bring you to the town of Salerno where you will have time for an appertivio and perhaps some lunch as well as a walk along the promenade.
In Salerno, you will be met once again by your coach which will return you to your hotel in the late afternoon, just in time to get ready for your evening meal.
Today, explore the beautiful town of Sorrento at your own leisure. Set on a spectacular headland, Sorrento is located on one of the most magnificent coastlines in Italy, with breathtaking views sweeping across the Bay of Naples.
A sun-soaked idyll celebrated by poets, artists and musicians for centuries, you'll be struck by the beauty of its winding, cobblestoned streets and pretty piazzas. Little pavement cafés dotted throughout the town invite you to sit awhile, sip a coffee and enjoy a taste of la dolce vita, Sorrento style.
Quaint boutiques and dinky souvenir shops make it the perfect town to potter around in and you could easily spend hours doing so. In the evenings, life tends to centre round the main square, Piazza Tasso, where good value, high quality restaurants and cosy bars abound.
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to your first stop of the day, Mount Vesuvius, the only active volcano in mainland Europe. Located on Italy's west coast, it overlooks the bay and the city of Naples and is most famous for the 79 AD eruption which buried the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The coach will take you up 1000 meters and from there you can take a footpath to the top (approx. 25 min) and admire the splendid views across the bay or look deep into the blackened crater as the smoke rises from the fertile ground.
Next stop? Pompeii, where you will have an opportunity to have some lunch before your tour of Pompeii commences. Following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii lay buried for over a thousand years. The town is now one of the most visited sites in the world and today your local guide will take you back in time with a tour along its original Roman streets. You can explore its ancient shops, bars and gyms, marvel at the fabulously preserved frescoes and mosaics and visit the main square where the former City Hall's ruins lie. This is an archaeological adventure which will not fail to impress, so make sure you pack your camera! After, hop back on your coach and head back to the hotel in time for your well deserved evening meal.
Still thirsty for activities? No problem. Your Topflight Resort Manager will be more than happy to arrange great extra excursions or activities for you or even recommend fantastic local restaurants and bars so you can sample the local lifestyle.

You will also have some free time to explore the island and stroll through its famous main square or admire the Augustus Gardens.
Today you will be transfered by coach back to Naples Airport to catch your returning flight home.

As one of Topflight’s longest-serving resort managers, Lindsey has lived in Sorrento for 38 years and knows the surrounding region like the back of her hand. Speaking of Sorrento she says "the whole area has so much culture, history, beauty, friendly locals and of course 9 months of sunshine, so what’s not to love!" My name is Lindsey and I am your Resort Manager in Livigno. I have worked for Topflight for over 20 years as the Country manager for Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast during the summer and on the ski slopes during the winter. I have lived in Italy for many years and have extensive knowledge of the people, traditions and culture since marrying an Italian and raising my family in this beautiful country. I am really looking forward to giving a warm welcome to all Topflight guests arriving in Livigno for this 2022 ski season.
After completing my degree in Liverpool, I spent a few years gaining experience in hotels in Chester and Cornwall before landing in Livigno to organise custom ski tours in the area. I look forward to working as part of the Topflight Team again this summer and winter and am here to assist you throughout your holiday!
