Discover the soul of Andalusia, from the sherry cellars of Jerez and the White Villages of Cádiz province to the soaring Giralda in Seville, while staying beside the golden sands of the Costa de la Luz.
This wonderful 7-night escorted tour reveals the very best of Andalusia from one perfectly placed seaside base in Rota, on the sunny Costa de la Luz. Spend your days among the sherry bodegas of Jerez, the ancient streets of Cádiz, the whitewashed hilltop town of Arcos de la Frontera and the grand monuments of Seville, then return each evening to a 4-star hotel right beside the beach. With guided excursions balanced by free days to relax by the Atlantic, it's the ideal blend of discovery and downtime. Accompanied by our Dedicated Tour Manager throughout, you can simply sit back and soak up the warmth and colour of southern Spain.
Arrive at Málaga Airport, where you'll be met by your Tour Manager and transferred to the seaside town of Rota, your home for the week. Settle into Hotel Duque de Nájera, set right beside the golden sands of Playa de la Costilla and just steps from the old town.
Today's full-day excursion begins in Jerez de la Frontera, one of Andalusia's most traditional cities and famous the world over for its sherry and its fine horses. Stroll its charming streets with your Tour Manager and admire the Cathedral and the Moorish Alcázar from outside, before visiting a local bodega to learn how sherry is made and enjoy a tasting. Continue to Cádiz, founded by the Phoenicians around 3,000 years ago and often described as the oldest city in Western Europe. Wander through the narrow lanes of the Pópulo Quarter, its oldest neighbourhood, and take in the golden-domed Cathedral and the remains of the Roman Theatre.
A day to enjoy Rota at your own pace. Relax on the beach or by the hotel pool, stroll the seafront promenade, or explore the whitewashed lanes of the old town and the 13th-century Castillo de Luna. In the evening, sample fresh fish and seafood at one of the town's many local restaurants.
Today's full-day excursion takes you through some of the most beautiful towns and coastal scenery in the province of Cádiz. First, visit Arcos de la Frontera, one of the most celebrated of Andalusia's White Villages, perched dramatically on a limestone cliff above the Guadalete River. Explore its historic centre with your Tour Manager and admire the Basilica of Santa María, the Castle of the Dukes and the picturesque Plaza del Cabildo. Continue to Conil de la Frontera, a charming fishing town on the Atlantic coast known for its ancient tradition of tuna fishing, where there is free time for lunch and a stroll through the old town and along the seafront.
Today is free to spend as you wish. Unwind in the Andalusian sunshine, enjoy a leisurely lunch overlooking the Bay of Cádiz, or take the local ferry across the bay for an independent visit to Cádiz. Your Tour Manager will be on hand with suggestions for making the most of your free time.
A full day in Seville, the vibrant capital of Andalusia and one of Spain's most captivating cities. Explore its historic heart with an English-speaking local guide, including a visit inside the magnificent Cathedral of Seville, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world. Built on the site of a former mosque, it is crowned by the iconic Giralda, once a minaret and now its bell tower, and houses the tomb traditionally attributed to Christopher Columbus. Afterwards, enjoy free time to wander Seville's elegant streets, shaded squares and lively neighbourhoods.
Your final full day is yours to savour. Take a last swim in the Atlantic, linger by the pool, or browse the shops and cafés of Rota's old town. Round off the week with a relaxed dinner and a glass of the local Tintilla de Rota wine.
Your Andalusian adventure comes to a close today, with a transfer from Rota to Málaga Airport for your return flight home.

My name is Lynsey and although I was born in Scotland, I’ve spent over 12 years working for Topflight across some of Europe’s best-loved mountain and summer destinations, including Austria, France, Andorra and Italy. Skiing has always been a huge part of my life and even after all these years, I still can’t get enough of being in the mountains. When summer arrives, my skis are swapped for sandals and I’m happiest embracing a little la dolce vita. I have a particular love for Italy and enjoying everything that makes an Italian summer so special.
