The Hotel Bellevue San Lorenzo enjoys an idyllic setting in lush, art-filled gardens that slope gently down to the shores of Lake Garda at Malcesine, one of the most beautiful towns on the lake's eastern shore. This elegant four-star retreat is an adults-only hotel, offering a wonderfully peaceful and refined atmosphere across a collection of charming buildings gathered around the historic main villa, with sweeping views over the water at every turn.
Accommodation is spread across 54 individually styled rooms and suites, many opening onto a private balcony or terrace with uninterrupted views of the lake. Furnished with great care and dressed in fine Italian linens, each room combines timeless elegance with modern comforts including air conditioning, a flat-screen television, minibar and safe, creating a calm and luxurious retreat in which to unwind.
At the heart of the hotel lies a spectacular infinity pool that appears to melt into the lake beyond, with sun loungers and a poolside bar perfectly placed for soaking up the views and the famous Garda sunsets. The complimentary wellness area adds a further touch of indulgence, with a sauna, Turkish bath and aromatic showers in which to relax body and mind after a day spent exploring.
Dining is a refined pleasure, with a restaurant serving authentic dishes prepared from fresh local ingredients and a generous breakfast buffet to begin each day. Elsewhere, a tranquil library room offers a quiet corner for reading, while the surrounding park, dotted with contemporary sculptures, invites gentle strolls among the greenery beside the lake.
Malcesine itself is among Lake Garda's most enchanting towns, its medieval centre gathered beneath the lakeside Scaliger Castle, with the famous rotating Monte Baldo cable car climbing to sweeping mountain views. The town centre lies around a fifteen to twenty minute walk away along the scenic lakeside path, with a bus stop close by for those who prefer to ride into town.

Born and raised in the area of Franciacorta, I grew up surrounded by the glorious landscapes and vineyards, for which the area is well-known. Other than harvesting grapes for the production of my family’s own wine, some of my fondest childhood memories come from spending time at Lake Garda. Whether it’s cycling, climbing or windsurfing, I just can’t get enough of the activities around Lake Garda. At the end of the day, you’ll always find me in a lakeside café, admiring the views and sipping an Aperol Spritz in the sunshine. That to me, is paradise.
